Ford Mustang II 1978

1978 Ford Mustang II

1978 was the last year for the Mustang II, along with the Mach 1. Like some other Fords enter'78 to'82, the Mustang is being redesigned for all los'79-with a new image for the dawn the'80 's. The most notable changes in all models Mustang II was the'78 several new two-tone paint colors, and two cushions in the back seat, rather than one with a padded cushion attached hump in the middle.
New variable-ratio power steering was available, along with a package of fashion accessories for the coupe. Designed to appeal to women, including insertions cloth seat, the driver's side VISERA lighted mirror, a four-way adjustable driver seat, coin tray, map pockets, and pin stripes. The biggest news of 1978 was the King Cobra, which was only the'78.

The most convenient and collectible II, the King Cobra is a package for hatchback only, which consisted of a front air dam, rear spoiler, fender flares, reverse-face in front of the fireplace with 5.0 hood decal, pin striping around the car, Brown-out trim, King Cobra decals on the doors and the rear wing, T-tops, huge snake hood decal as the Trans-Am screaming chicken, the 302-V8 4-speed, and performance for the suspension. King Cobra interiors are similar to Cobra II, which follows. Only about 5000 became King Cobras, and arrived in Red, Silver, Black, brown, white and blue.
