Ford Mustang II 1976

1976 Ford Mustang II

The changes for 1976 are mainly visual. There was a change in the transmission mid-year, however, the V-8, increased to 139 horses, was made available to the 4-speed. W New black / white trim bumper inserts were standard in all II, which replaces the chrome. Ford offered two packages cosmetics option, which was popular in last'70 's.

The first was the Stallion Group, which is available only for last'76 either the coupe or hatchback, and also available on Pintos and Mavericks. It emphasized black trim around windows and wiper arms, a black horse with the emblem of grilled eliminated, the black along the lower body (and the top of the hood and roof if desired), style steel wheels, chrome bodyside molding, and the horse stallion chief fender Decals. Is available in colors such as Red / Black, Yellow / Black and White / Black, but the most popular was the Silver / Black. The other "appearance" package was the Cobra II, the simulation of the first Shelbys. The package was installed by Motortown Corporation, and consisted of strips of very long run on the car, stretches along the lower body with "COBRA II" in the middle of the section, front and rear spoilers, rear window louvers room with chrome snake emblem, simulated bell in front of the fireplace, snake decals on each fender, a snake emblem in the chrome grill in the dark, polished aluminum instrument and door panels, style and steel wheels .
Cobra II The package was only available in hatchbacks, and arrived in White w / Blue stripes, Blue w / white stripes, or Black w / Gold rays, and was confined to Blue, White / Blue, Black or indoors.
