Ford Mustang 1964-1965

In 1961, Lee Iacocca, vice president and general manager of the Ford division, had a vision. His vision was a car that would seat four people have bucket seats, a floor-mounted shifter, be no more than 180 centimetres in length and weighing less than 2500 pounds, and sell for less than $ 2500.00. First generation (1964-1973)

Mustang the first year, then called ½ 1964, it was available in two models: the coupe and convertible. Both these models featured stretched hoods and rear bridges shorter than the prototype, including chrome bumpers, wrap-around grilles with a tube running, and full wheel covers. 1965 Shelby's 004-034 with serial numbers are not an "S" on the nomination VIN plate. All others have a "D" or "R.
