Mustang 1967

The Mustang 1967 brought the first major redesign. Although it is longer and wider, the Mustang retains the same wheelbase of 108 inches. The grille opening was made bigger to the Mustang meaner look as taillight panel on the back is concave. Optional disc brakes front arrived with power assist, and Mustang'67 was the first vehicle to use a dual hydraulic system. The front suspension has also been redesigned and expanded to give the car a smooth ride.

A new engine was added to the top line, the first major block of Mustang, the 390ci. Performance 320hp, the 390 uses a single Holley 600cfm four barrel carburetor to the intake manifold and cast iron. All Mustangs containing 390 had a dual exhaust system. A total of 28800 Mustangs with 390 engine occurred. Only 472 Mustangs were built with the 289 V-8, the GT Equipment Group option is mandatory with the 271hp 289.
The GT Equipment Group includes grilled mounted fog lamps, front disc brake power, dual chrome exhaust quad outlets that were excluded in the 289hp 289, GT gas cap, F70x14 tires, the handling of packages, rocker panel striped or GT and GTA (Automatic transmission equipped GTs) emblems. 24,079 Mustangs GT option.

Only with the BT Group Competition was handling package available that was firmer suspension components, limited slip rear axle and tires fifteen inch wire wheel covers.
Inside the Mustang'67 was redesigned. A new script was added, which took the Rally-Pac and parcel of air conditioning. Two new options are outside the tilt steering wheel and lid down in the back seat fastback model. The 1967 Shelby Mustang is available in two basic models: the GT350 carrying high-performance 289 V-8 and GT500 hauling large 428ci V-8. Shelby now started from the basic forms Mustang model. The new 1967 Shelby model was drastically redesigned to release pending the outcome, while also being able to deliver results. The GT350 was still Paxton Supercharger as an available option.
The standard wheel rim Shelby Mustang was a steel deck with a wheel, which are very rare. More common are the wheels of Kelsey-Hayes style wheels steel or aluminium smelter Shelby ten measured in 15x7-inch wheels.
Only about 1967 cars have round tube 3 inches extensions while others use the quad exhaust extensions of the Mustang GT.
Also, only some Shelby VIN labels were hand-lettered. Most of the care with lighthouses side also contain the letter "Z" before the serial number plate VIN.
