Ford Mustang 1973

Mustang 1973

1973 brought the last year of the "big" Mustang. It should be replaced by a smaller, lighter race, therefore, most of the changes to the'73 were merely cosmetic. A big, square, chrome bezel headlamp appeared, like the chrome trim around the tail lights. A color introduced urethane front bumper chrome units replaced the previous years. The front parking lights now placed vertically on the front grille.
A new, fine-grained, shiny black with applict cut was placed at the rear body panel between the tail lights. This was replaced by a honeycomb style in the Mach 1 and models Grand. The 1973 Mustang convertible became the latest Mustang convertible for many years. There were a total of 134867 Mustangs produced in 1973.
